About the Founder
Doug Robinson is a California licensed contractor, California licensed real estate broker, certified LEED AP, certified in Xactimate, and certified HAZWOPER based in Sacramento, CA.
Doug has a 30-year career in homebuilding spanning multiple states throughout the western US, resulting in thousands of homes being built. His introduction to the wildfire rebuild process came in the aftermath of the Tubbs Fire (Santa Rosa 2017), the Woolsey Fire (Malibu 2018) and the Camp Fire (Paradise 2018). Doug worked in all of these wildfire-damaged areas, meeting with countless victims. In almost all cases he found one thing in common—a complete lack of support and coordination available to these families during what he feels is the most critical timeframe of the rebuilding process—preconstruction. Families were left completely on their own to navigate this unfamiliar process without any professional assistance, guidance or support. The negative results of this being time lost, construction dollars wasted and homeowners frustrated.
It was from these experiences that Doug created The Works. The Works was specifically established to advise, guide, advocate and defend wildfire victims. His wildfire rebuilding experience coupled with his vast construction knowledge and extensive network of professional resources makes The Works is unmatched in providing preconstruction support and guidance.
